“Marketing Leaders” emerge from CIM

If you are passionate about technology like I am - take a look at The Marketing Leaders website.

This is an online community that has emerged out of CIM Tech.

I think this community will establish itself in the high tech space. Why? Well as you know I believe that marketers hide behind jargon, rhetoric, false numbers or thick rimmed spectacles too often.

‘Marketing Leaders’ tells marketers they should join if they are;

  • Fed up with the ‘4 Ps’
  • Fed up with the lack of Leadership in professional marketing
  • Fed up with a huge range of alternatives in your business life
  • Fed up with marketing as it is an art rather than a science

But what hit me hardest was this quote from ‘Marketing Leader’s’ founder David Hood, when he was discussing the Chartered Institute of Marketing;

“They do not have a grip on modern marketing or how to service special interest groups. they are too regionalised. The CIM is stuck in the old tweed jacket school of marketing.”

I agree wholeheartedly.

If the ‘Marketing Leaders’ manifesto strikes a cord with you - join.
