Ballooning marvelous or noisy attention seeking? Part II

As the previous post demonstrates - it is important to think through Viral and WOM campaigns carefully. Just as it is with any other medium.

Marketers need to be responsible for the waves or side effects their products or services cause.

Viral and WOM can be cheap, and often appears ‘unorganised’, but it doesn’t mean that its effects can’t be widespread (Family sues Radio Station Over Death).

My deepest sympathies and condolences go out to the Strange family for getting caught up in noisy attention seeking with tragic consequences.
