This is a blog that focuses on marketing in the high technology sector. It is written by me, Chris Hoskin the Chief Marketing Officer at Salmon - an IT Services company headquartered in the UK.
There is no doubt that traditional marketing no longer works in the high tech sector - despite what traditional marketing agencies tell you. Every day consumers of all kinds are bombarded with up to 4000 marketing messages - and yet 99% of them are completely ignored or subliminally blocked-out. This blog is about strategic, alternative marketing. The 1% that gets brands noticed. The 1% that gets your organisation, your offerings, or your products noticed. The 1% that makes a difference to your bottom line.
I hope to identify and exemplify the 1% - and illustrate how organisations that have recognised that traditional marketing no longer works have created marketing platforms that facilitate business growth, marketing ROI and customer satisfaction.

Salmon is headquartered in Watford, England, and his work there is completely results orientated and very hands-on. Chris reports to the Chief Operating Officer, as well as being a Director of the business and a key member of the Executive Management Team.
