UK advertisers were dropping off Facebook like flies today. Vodafone have [...]

The Greening of Business: Recent Trends & Remaining Hurdles

I am very sick with the amount of high tech firms that are jumping on the green issue to promote their products or services.    Full page ads - with the innovative inclusion of ‘CO2′ in copy is widespread.
Maybe I am a cynic, not only is this type of ‘marketing’ misleading, cheap and probably [...]

‘Truth’ & PR

There is a wonderful debate beginning to gather pace which discusses ‘Truth’ and ‘PR’. Contributing to this debate is PRWeek, who hosted a session last week to discuss whether PRs have a ‘duty’ to tell the truth.
Amazingly the ‘truth’ motion was defeated by 138 votes to 124. I’ll say that again. The motion [...]

Operational benefits of web 2.0

I was asked today how Web 2.0 can benefit the operations of B2B technology brands. I described 4 key areas - although there are undoubtedly many more.
Here they are;
1) FACILITATING SELF HELP
Customer service comes at a cost - but is critical. Cutting costs and optimising service IS possible with web 2.0 tools that [...]
